Former Captain Mark Owen provided valuable insights at the BOMA International Conference last week, offering lessons learned from his Navy SEAL experience.

As a member of SEAL Team Six that carried out the mission against Osama Bin Laden, he was guided by the following principles: shared sense of purpose; becoming comfortable with the uncomfortable; prioritizing effectively; all in, all the time; evolving and adapting; building relationships of trust; dealing with the task at hand and setting aside things out of your control; and teamwork. He stressed that these principles can guide anyone in the work and personal endeavors.
