Public Policy Committees
Annual Program Committees
Political Action Committee
The Political Action Committee (PAC) enables BOMA/GLA’s advocacy team to raise money to re-elect political candidates for state and local office who know, understand and support policies that affect commercial real estate. The PAC is also responsible for planning BOMA at the Bowl, its major annual fundraising event.
Annual Toy, Clothing and Food Drive
To affect positive change in our community by joining our members together for an annual drive to collect items needed over the holiday season. There is also a volunteer sort day at the end of the year to sort and distribute to the participating committees.
Codes and Regulations
BOMA/GLA members have a wide array of knowledge surrounding the building codes and regulations that directly affect the commercial real estate industry. The goal of the Codes and Regulations Committee is to affect positive change in local and state building codes through collaboration among members and with local and state building officials. The Committee further looks to serve as a resource for all BOMA/GLA members looking to stay up-to-date on current codes and regulations.
BOMA/GLA member buildings are at the forefront of the sustainability movement. The BOMA/GLA Sustainability Committee seeks to educate and inform members on issues regarding techniques, trends and methods related to energy efficiency, sustainable practices, and all aspects of “going green.”
Government and External Relations
In today’s dynamic political environment, it is imperative that the interests of BOMA/GLA members are represented in City Hall and Sacramento. The Government and External Relations Committee aims to affect positive change in local and state legislative and regulatory efforts through collaboration among members and in dialogue with local and state lawmakers. The Committee serves as BOMA/GLA members’ voice in the conversation when policies are being written and amended.
Security and Emergency Preparedness
The safety and security of everyone within BOMA/GLA’s member buildings is paramount. The purpose of the BOMA/GLA Security and Emergency Preparedness Committee is to educate and inform BOMA/GLA members on techniques, trends, and methods related to security and emergency preparedness in commercial buildings. The Committee works with local government officials to create policies that reflect both the interests of building owners and the public within the buildings.

BOMA/GLA welcomes all of our building engineers to participate in our bi-annual engineering forums. The education program is led by a panel of industry professionals who share their expertise on a variety of topics to more effectively operate and maintain office buildings. Each program ends with a discussion period. In addition, engineers can learn about the latest products and services at our exhibitor showcase. These programs provide an opportunity for engineers to network and connect with other engineers throughout Greater Los Angeles.
BOMA Greater Los Angeles is excited to welcome membership, provide education, advocacy and networking to the Industrial market. We offer programs throughout the year to provide valuable information on local development, leasing, market trends, drivers, management and operations
