BOMA INTERNATIONAL TESTIFIES ON ENERGY INCENTIVES

BOMA International testified earlier this month on the importance of making permanent and modernizing the Energy Efficient Commercial Building Tax Deduction, commonly referred to as 179D. The U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Subcommittee on Tax Policy is considering the treatment of expired tax provisions that were left unaddressed after the passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

BOMA LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: ADA REFORM PASSES HOUSE

BOMA achieved a major victory in the battle against “drive-by” lawsuits. H.R. 620, the “ADA Education and Reform Act” of 2017, sponsored by Reps. Ted Poe (R-Texas) and Scott Peters (D-Calif.) passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 225-192 with bipartisan support.  This issue has been a top legislative priority for BOMA International for several years.
