San Fernando Valley Regional Council
The San Fernando Valley Regional Council plans the Regional Roundtables (discussions on CRE, community, or business issues within the region) and Power Hours as well as other programs or events for the region.
The council consists of a Principal Member Chair, Associate Member Co-Chair, and Principal Member Co-Chair. The council may also include members-at-large or additional co-chairs depending on the needs of the council.
The region covers the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley and includes the communities of West Hills, Santa Clarita, Van Nuys, Chatsworth, Encino, San Fernando, Studio City, North Hollywood, and others within this geographic area.

Responsibilities
- The chairs (or co-chair if a chair is absent) facilitate Regional Roundtable discussions and emcee the regionally hosted virtual Power Hours. The chair may be asked to step in if a Power Hour speaker falls through to lead a facilitated peer-to-peer conversation.
- Participate and assist the staff liaison in planning Power Hour speakers and in setting the agenda for the Regional Roundtable meetings. This may include securing speakers and securing locations to host events.
- Engage in member outreach to increase regional member engagement and attendance at the regionally hosted events.
Meeting Schedule
Minimum of one 30-minute planning meeting for each of the four regional events. Additional calls may be required or requested based on planning needs for a particular event.
Time Commitment
Council members are expected to attend and participate in the region’s two Regional Roundtables and two Power Hours.
Leaders may also be invited to Political Action Committee candidate interviews if it is with a political candidate from the region.
