Terrorism and Threat Assessment Education and Resources

Since the bombing of the World Trade Center, Los Angeles has been considered one of the primary areas of concern with increased potential of being targeted by terrorists.

Immediately following the events of 9/11, BOMA/GLA met with the Los Angeles Police Department and Department of Homeland Security representatives to hear updated intelligence information and to seek advice on methods for “hardening” our buildings as targets.

BOMA/GLA provided key information during a time of conflicting advice through our timely seminars and “how-to” guides on improved awareness training and electronic security systems.

BOMA/GLA continues to maintain clear channels of communication with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and City and County Departments of Emergency Services.
